This place was really clean! Great atmosphere and location was easy to get to and ideal! The staff were great, really helpful and welcoming. The rooms were great! Beds were comfortable, there was always someone cleaning in the facility. Breakfast was also nice, good selection. I would recommend a stay for anyone!
I visited Prague for two days and two nights and I am very happy with my decision to stay at Hostel ELF. The staff was nice and helpful, hostel was clean, there was always a bathroom and a toilet free to use, facilities were great, there was FREE BREAKFAST, bed was comfortable, very safe environment, amazing location, and lastly, there were so many extremely nice and sociable people!! Definitely the perfect place to stay at as a solo traveller. I recommend this hostel to anyone who wants to live close to the city center (with walking distance to main train station and bus station), who likes free breakfast and for those who want to meet new people!
The biggest downfall of this hostel other than the location is that the walls are so thin. Our first two nights there were great but the third night was awful. The people on the room next door were arguing loudly for the entire night. Yelling. And the people in the dorm down the hall kept going in and out their door, slamming it, continuously for about an hour. This was so loud it shook the walls. Reception did nothing to stop either of these diaturbances. We did not get any sleep that night.
Great place, would recommend to anyone! Loved it! Great common areas to meet amazing people in. Good kitchen. Hostel hosts a lot of things each night like free dinner, 50% off drinks, movie night & free popcorn etc. Very communal. Rooms were spacious with lockers and bathrooms were kept clean. Only thing is the shower is timed so you have to keep pushing it back on.
The hostel is located close to the bus and train station, about a 10 minute walk! It is set back by the Vitkov Memorial, in a more quiet neighborhood. It takes 20-25 minutes to walk to the Old Town Center from the Elf. The hostel has an outside hangout area as well as an inside lounge. The front desk peeps are friendly! Can pay in Euro which helped since we had yet to exchange money. Lots of rooms (2 floors) with different sizes. Single showers and separate single toilets. Hotel Card Entry style. They provide breakfast in the morning and coffee all day (Upstairs). The beds were nice and the room was kept at a good temperature. Just know there are steep wood stairs to get to the place!
Great hostel, nice and friendly staff. It has a kitchen!! And a nice breakfast. They have cheap beer and are just a 10 minute walk from the center. It was easy to have a drink and sit outside or in the common room and meet people. Defff a good value for your money! Also, it was very clean.
Absolutely fantastic hostel. Great atmosphere, great staff, great activities. Happy hour and the free BBQ nights are just great, they really bring people together even if you're a solo traveller like me. Location is not exactly central, but it's not bad (20 min walk to the Old Town). Very clean. Some of the lockers are not reliable though, and might need to be fixed. Overall, a great experience.
I really enjoyed my stay in Hostel Elf:
I arrived there late with some friends of mine because we'd booked an unpleasant hostel before and we had to look for another hostel. We could fastly have a room, the staff was really nice with us. The hostel's interior design is awesome (the toilets and shower doors have paintings on them), there are carpets all over the hostel, so you can walk very comfortable without shoes. As well, there are some towels in the toilets in case you forget your own. You can sleep and talk to people from all over the world, even have a beer with them outside in the porch, you can have really good experiences there. The hostel is relatively close to the center of Prague, you just need to walk for 20 minutes to reach the center.
To sum up, it's a very good choice. Totally recommended. Elf Hostel for the win!
I stayed here for a week and I absolutely loved everything. The atmosphere was very good. Room was clean, showers and toilet too. I really loved the taste of music they play at the bar and I have met so many interesting people. Nice place to relax during daytime as well. The city centre close enough to walk but there is also a bus in front of the hotel. The staff was super friendly too (thanks guy!). Besides, I loved Prague.
One of the BEST hostels I have ever been! Nice welcoming people, great atmosphere and very nice building. Clean and cheap. The free breakfast very decent for a hostel. Walking distance 10-15 mins from the center. (We where also lucky because on the night we stayed there was a party for the 15th anniversary of the hostel with food, drinks and lots of fun!)
